Ectopia of the ovary is a rare variant of anomaly of the uterine appendages, characterized by the localization of the ovary in an atypical anatomical area. This disease is most often an accidental finding during instrumental examination of the patient. Clinical manifestations of this anomaly are nonspecific and characterized by chronic pain syndrome, that occurs with cystic or neoplastic transformation of the organ. We present a clinical case of 63-year-old patient with benign tumor – serous cystadenoma of the right ectopic ovary, localized in the mesentery of the ileum. Morphological examination of the material allowed to clarify the essence of pathological changes.
